Drawing #14.
La Fin Absolue du Monde
Painting #12. A bit more dramatic and atmospheric than the last one. I’m pretty happy with this one.
Painting #11…I like colored Gouache medium! Works like oils. The iPhone camera doesn’t capture the color all that well and the use of color isn’t exactly dramatic. In number 12 I’ll try to create a chiaroscuro light source that ads to the mood that I was capturing in some of the others.
10—- not sure what to think of this one… It’s ugly but I think I like it. Regardless I promised myself a drawing a day so on to #11.
Sketch for number 10…I’m going to start painting it now but gotta go to a Super Bowl party at 6pm after I drop off the kids. Iay not able to finish the painting until tommorow
Painting for number 9 this one gave me some trouble. Still trying to get used to the medium. I’m using watercolors but In the past I always used oils. Can’t use oils in a sketchbook and frankly since I’m just starting to draw again, I’m not ready for oils yet. I’m going to do these 100 drawings then figure out where to go from there. I may upload some earlier versions of this painting to show how much it changed to get to this point. I’m not even really sure if this is finished. I may work it some more later but for now on to #10.

They can’t all be successes. I’m pretty disappointed with how this one came out. The drawing had such promise and the painting of it started out well but then I overworked it. You learn from the failures and I’ve learned a lot from this one. I may try this pose again down the road. In the meantime on to number 9.

Sketch for number 8.
I’ve got another thing I’m working on so I think I’ll wait to paint number 8 tomorrow night

Number 7 took me in a different direction. I was just along for the ride. I gotta think about this one…

Sketch for number 7.
